At the January 16th meeting of the Tuscaloosa County Democratic Party’s Executive Committee, the members unanimously passed a resolution condemning Robert Aderholt’s actions before, during, and after the insurrection at the U.S. Capitol Building on January 6th. The resolution is as follows:
Whereas, Representative Robert Aderholt continues to spread false claims of fraud in the 2020 general election without any evidence to support and
Whereas, Rep. Aderholt failed to fulfill his constitutional duty to certify the free and fair election of Joe Biden as President of the United States
Whereas, Rep. Aderholt encouraged and supported people attending the January 6th rallies that turned into a violent insurrection at the U.S. Capitol,
Whereas, Rep. Aderholt represents people from Tuscaloosa County,
Resolved, the Tuscaloosa County Democratic Party calls on Representative Robert Aderholt to strongly and unequivocally denounce the violent insurrection on January 6th and to admit and apologize for the role his rhetoric and voting has played in inciting that violence and damaging his constituents faith in the American democratic process.
